More Bow Ties These were done for a bow tie themed baby shower. I really enjoyed this color palette and everything was done wet on wet icing, no painting on these for a change. I love all the different patterns and the small pops of orange. I hope they are a hit with the party goers this weekend.

Peek-a-boo Monsters
I got a call from the sweetest person to make her some cookies for a baby shower... the next day! She'd gotten my number from two separate people that morning because she'd been looking for someone to make her cookies for the past month with no luck and it just so happened I knew the girl making her cake AND the co-host was a past customer of mine... how could I say no? I told her I'd do my best as long as she was cool with just a few colors. Thankfully these guys were pretty simple to duplicate and overall they came out kinda cute. My son totally fell in love with the green striped guy (even though they orange guy was his favorite color).

It's a Girl... Monster :)
These are for a baby shower... and girls baby shower. From what I understand the mother did not want anything too girly so her best friend decided to do fun colorful monsters. They found these really cute decals they were going to use and she sent me a pic. I loved them the moment I saw them. But how to make them fit the theme a little better without going too "girly" on the mom... BOWS! We did the same style monsters, kept to the softer color choices, and added a tiny bow to each one to give it just a touch of flair. (How cute did these come out? I LOVE THEM)
On another big plus side for this set of cookies, I got to try out a brand new plaque cookie cutter I'd been eyeing for months from Karen's Cookies and finally bought while at a cookie conference earlier this month. :)

Welcoming Baby Reagan...
We did two sets of cookies for little Ms. Reagan, one for the baby shower and one for the family. Her new room was custom painted with adorable animals and the while she didn't want a bunch of decorations for the shower, we decided on a polka-dot theme. I carried a little of that theme into the family cookies using just the mom's favorite color (and the dad's favorite animals, can you find the dinosaur?).

Gone With the Wind... baby shower?
These were a lot of fun, a friend asked me to help her out... she was planning a baby shower for her best friend and the theme was Gone With the Wind. She wanted to focus on the green dress that Scarlet makes out of the curtains. I wasn't sure where these were heading when I agreed to do it but after a bunch of sketches, these came out pretty cute... The onesie represented the dress but I had to include the crazy feathers in her hat too. I wanted to do some with text, doesn't it remind you of the old title cards they'd put before the movies? I hope the friend likes them :)

Reagan is coming... baby shower cookies
I am so excited about our friend's Danny and Alissa are about to be the proud parents of a baby girl. They are the best people and my husband and I could not be happier for them, they are like family. Her mom called and asked if I could help with the shower and of course I was more than happy to help out :)
The theme was animals and polka dots. I have a set of vintage circus animals that I love to use whenever I can. I tried to match the large dot pastel sprinkles by Wilton since we were using them in other deserts, next time I'll rethink the yellow... the dots were a little hard to see when wet :) Each person got to take home a "R" onesie and some of the baby shower themed bites (and maybe some chocolate to fill out the bag).

Pink and Yellow Baby Shower
Baby Alicia is on her way and I got to make her baby shower cookies :) I was told their theme was yellow and pink... not a combo I'd usually make but I went with it to see what I could come up with. These were fun to play with, I tried a little bit of everything to get some fun textures and make them different from the first set of baby girl cookies (here) that were done for the mom's sister. I love the little details I was able to get into these, the little flowers and hearts on the yellow onesies, the bow on the duck, and even the little "A" on the blanket in the stroller. They were a surprise for the mom and I got some great feedback that they were well loved by all.

Baby Shower... Babies?
So I wanted to make some bite sized cookies for a baby shower we were having at my office. I saw something similar to these online (I'm sorry but I cannot remember where I saw them). Whoever it was made a pile of tiny faces and they were very cute. I wanted to make mine a little bigger than hers and I loved the idea of giving them rosy cheeks. Coming up with the expressions was fun, can you find the ones making a poopy face? Since they were having a boy and I ran out of flesh colored icing, I decided to compliment them with some nice denim colored cookies as well and once I saw them all together I was really happy to have that little bit of color on the plate.

It's A Girl!
My dad's coworker just delivered a beautiful baby girl, Elena, and one of the mom's favorite foods is cookies... so naturally my dad asked me to make her some and ship them to California. I was excited to do something girly for a change, so much pink icing :) These came out super cute and way better than I could of planned. I ended up just kinda winging it last night and doing whatever felt right at the time. I hope she likes them, congrats to the new family! See more pictures here.
