Spirit of Christmas, part 2... hope you have a sense of humor

This is not a trick, those are cookies :) These were all my Dad's idea... he sent me a pic and via email with the subject: "wouldn't these make a cool cookie?" Well that got my brain going because I loved the idea. Each cookie has a flavor to match it's color... Cinnamon, Coconut, Peppermint, Lemon, Vanilla and Red Velvet. I wanted to keep going but I ran out of icing to mix into new colors. These are on their way to him as a surprise with the logos, I hope the final product is a good as he envisioned because they were super fun to make. Thanks for the great idea, Dad.

Spirt of Christmas... part 1

My father, who is one of my biggest fans, asked very nicely for some holiday cookies to be mailed to his office this year for Christmas. He wanted his company's (Pacific Ship Repair, or PacShip) logo done as a cookie but left it up to me to make them "festive and fun." I know that his bosses are very protective of their logo, the style and colors are very important to them. So I had to take my time and do this one very carefully... I hate painting lines now :) He was floored when he saw them, and that made it all worth it. These were part of a group cookies, you can see them bits of them here but there more to come on those in part 2... can you guess what they are?

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Here is what my kitchen looked like at 7 am this morning... these were all naked when I got home from work at 6 pm last night. All in all there were about 460 cookies decorated for a work Christmas bazaar. I did Sweet Sugarbell's Orange Gingerbread cookie recipe along with my own Eggnog and Candy Cane flavors this year. I found the cutest bags at Target and Hobby Lobby and tried to do cookies to match. It was a lot of work but they were very well received... next year I may have to do more ;)

It's a Girl... Monster :)

So I just have to say that I love my customers, seriously, you guys are great! I have been able to do some of the most fun cookies ever and you guys are not afraid of doing something different.

These are for a baby shower... and girls baby shower. From what I understand the mother did not want anything too girly so her best friend decided to do fun colorful monsters. They found these really cute decals they were going to use and she sent me a pic. I loved them the moment I saw them. But how to make them fit the theme a little better without going too "girly" on the mom... BOWS! We did the same style monsters, kept to the softer color choices, and added a tiny bow to each one to give it just a touch of flair. (How cute did these come out? I LOVE THEM)

On another big plus side for this set of cookies, I got to try out a brand new plaque cookie cutter I'd been eyeing for months from Karen's Cookies and finally bought while at a cookie conference earlier this month. :)
